    Stroll around one of the largest rail vehicle collections in the world, and learn about the history of the railway, from its early days up to today.

    Railway Park

    During the summer, the Järnvägsparken outdoor area will be open with living environments in historic buildings. As you step into the waiting room of the station building, you step back in time to a period when tickets were purchased at a ticket window, people mailed postcards, and goods to be transported by train were weighed. In the track tender's cabin, you will meet the track tender’s wife, who will tell you about how children lived and played in time gone by. Travel around the outdoor area on the mini-train!

    Welcome to the Swedish Railway Museum in Gävle. The railway museum for all of Sweden. The Railway Museum is now open after being closed for renovation for a number of years.
