Information about accessibility issues on the website
This website is partially compliant with the Act on Accessibility to Digital Public Services due to the issues described below.
PDF documents
Content on the website in the form of PDF documents is not fully accessible, as the PDFs on the site do not meet accessibility requirements.
Action: The planned action is to replace existing PDFs with properly created PDFs that meet accessibility requirements. This work will be carried out during 2025.
Video
Videos lack alternative representation.
Videos on the website published before 23 September are missing alternative representation and are therefore not accessible to all.
Action: Due to limited resources, videos published on the website before 23 September 2020 will not be provided with alternatives. Videos published on jarnvagsmuseet.se after 23 September 2020 will be provided continuously with alternative representation in the form of transcription. SMTM does not provide audio description for videos online, as this is currently considered unreasonably burdensome.
Other
During 2025, less extensive issues will be addressed: Several informative images lack alternative text.
Measures to address accessibility issues
Our goal is to resolve all known accessibility issues during 2025.
How we test the website jarnvagsmuseet.se
The contracted web provider, Knowit Experience Linköping, used standard accessibility and web development practices during the design and development phase of the newly launched website in 2024 and performed ongoing accessibility testing during development.
Efforts to maintain high accessibility continue as part of the ongoing management of the website, to ensure www.jarnvagsmuseet.se complies with the Act on Accessibility to Digital Public Services.
For example, the action plan and this accessibility statement are updated at least once a year based on both automated and manual tests. In addition, accessibility guidelines have been integrated into daily work through incorporation in design and development phases as well as additional testing routines.
