Wagon model F1 existed in many variants, and a total of at least 300 wagons of this model were built. It was actually an ordinary covered goods wagon equipped with a conductor’s compartment and a brake.

The conductor gets light from acetylene gas and heat from the steam locomotive. The wagons were used throughout Sweden and continued to roll well into the 1960s, including on commuter trains in Stockholm.

F1 is a type designation (class) of the wagon and means:

  • F = Luggage wagon
  • 1 = Model 1 in the F family
  • 25074 is the wagon's unique identification number
