Built in 1937 by AB Svenska Maskinverken in Södertälje, second class carriage Co8d 3137 is a passenger carriage with a riveted steel body. It served as a third class carriage until 1956, when it was upgraded to second class. It was one of SJ's most common types of carriage and was in service throughout the country until the end of the 1980s.

The interior is a bit unusual today because this is one of the few carriages that did not have headrests built into the seats in the 1960s. The carriage was completely refurbished and put into service in 2011, but reupholstery is currently planned because the fabric upholstery is worn out.
