Railway park

The Railway park (Järnvägsparken) offers green spaces, historic surroundings and areas for both play and relaxation. Here, children can roam freely amongst little houses, trains and interactive displays, whilst adults enjoy a unique cultural and historical setting.

Mini-train

A firm favourite with many children. Hop on board and take a ride around the area on the museum’s popular mini-train.

Food and drinks 

Take a break between adventures and treat yourself to something tasty. We offer coffee and cake, light lunches and refreshing ice cream for hot summer days.

Restaurant Ångpannan 

A bistro inside the museum serving simple meals, coffee and cake, and ice cream – for the whole family in a modern railway setting.

Kalasvagnen - catering wagon

You’ll find the catering wagon in the Railway park. It serves plenty of coffee and cake and ice cream.

The picnic trolley - Matsäcksvagnen

You’ll spot the picnic trolley right at the museum entrance. Perfect for those who want to bring their own picnic in a fantastic setting.

Play areas

There’s space for play both indoors and outdoors. The popular play areas are close to one another, making it easy to combine exploration with running, climbing and playing.

The Children’s Playground - Barngården

An outdoor play area for younger children with plenty of space to run about. And sometimes a train whizzes past at full speed right next to it!

Little Station

Inside the museum, you’ll find a 60-square-metre playroom where children can play at running a station, going on journeys and having train adventures at their own pace.

The Train Hall

The Train Hall is home to a vast array of trains, locomotives and carriages. Here, you can get up close to historic royal carriages and explore the history of Sweden’s railways.
